Louis Letterier’s “Now You See Me” is still not doing it for me. If it turns out to be super great or even really fun, then I’ll be happy, and a bit surprised. Right now, though, it looks mildly interest, but not in the “I’m going to see this thing opening day” type of interesting. More like a “Hmm, it looks mildly interest — hey, is that a cat?” type of interesting. Which isn’t really all that interesting, but interesting-ish.
Anyhoo. Maybe these two new clips from the movie will change my mind (and yours). One is the first 4 minutes from the movie, which introduces the magicians, and a clip where the gang robs a bank. And oh yeah, there are also 8 new motion posters for the movie that makes a better use of the whole “motion” gimmick than most posters, I’ll give them that.
An FBI agent and an Interpol detective track a team of illusionists who pull off bank heists during their performances and reward their audiences with the money.
“Now You See Me” stars Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Mark Ruffalo, Michael Caine, Morgan Freeman, Isla Fisher, Dave Franco, and Melanie Laurent.
