Watch the First Six Minutes of Sucker Punch Now

Speaking of Zack Snyder, I feel bad for the guy. I’ve liked everything he’s done so far, and in many ways, I think his “Sucker Punch” has gotten a bad rap. It ain’t the deepest movie out there, but I do think it’s probably the deepest Snyder has ever gotten, and if he’s guilty of anything, it’s jumping too far into the pool before he’s taken all the swimming lessons. He’s a young guy, and it might have been better if “Sucker Punch” came, say, 5 or even 10 years from now, when he’s learned all the moves he needs to more clearly get across his ideas.

But if you’re one of those people who haven’t made up your minds on “Sucker Punch” yet, here’s the first five and a half minutes from the movie to help you out. Like most of Snyder’s movies, the opening montages are mini-movies in themselves. Here’s hoping his “Superman” rocks the joint.

I’ve a feeling this one will find its audience several years down the road. And when it does, everyone who spoke ill of the flick during its theatrical run will suddenly decide that they loved every second it. Mark my words.

I love this movie, seen it on opening night and was pleasantly surprised at how good it was. Don’t know why people are hating on it. The opening scene was awesome. The music, the atmosphere, the way it was filmed, it was very stylish. The whole movie was good.
