Eric D. Anderson’s documentary “Way of the Puck” takes you inside the super secret society of guys who play air hockey, where life and death hangs in the balance, and the fate of entire countries are at stake. Okay, not so much, but it’s still air hockey, so that makes it pretty cool. If you’ve never gotten really drunk and threw down over an air hockey table in a bar, I feel sorry for you. I really do.
Anyways, Anderson’s document “Way of the Puck” follows a caricaturist, a clinical psychologist, a Buddhist wanderer, and an importer of wind-up musical jewelry boxes as they battle each other for air hockey world domination — and battle the world to save their beloved sport from extinction. Yeah, it’s that cool. Don’t believe me? Then puck you!
The DVD hits store shelves tomorrow on the 29th, but you can get it from the film’s official site if you’re so inclined.
