For some reason, while watching this International Trailer for Cameron Crowe’s latest, “We Bought a Zoo”, I kept expecting Matt Damon to get all “Bourne”-y and start karate chopping zebras while the camera shakes uncontrollably. That never happens, though, which is a shame, as it would have been totally out of left field. But awesome. Really awesome. Anyways, the new trailer is similar to the previous one, but it definitely doubles down on the Scarlett Johansson appearances. I thought she was something of a peripheral character in the last trailer, but this one certainly makes it seem as if she’s a major player and it’s not all about Damon and his cute daughter and brooding son.
Acclaimed filmmaker Cameron Crowe (Jerry Maguire, Almost Famous) directs an amazing and true story about a single dad who decides his family needs a fresh start, so he and his two children move to the most unlikely of places: a zoo. With the help of an eclectic staff, and with many misadventures along the way, the family works to return the dilapidated zoo to its former wonder and glory.
Starring Matt Damon, Scarlett Johansson and Thomas Haden Church.
The zoo opens for business December 23, 2011.
