What Happens in Fallout: New Vegas Stays in Fallout: New Vegas

The teaser trailer for the latest chapter in the “Fallout” series, namely “Fallout: New Vegas”, doesn’t show much, but it’s enough to persuade me to get off my lazy, misshapen behind and finish “Fallout 3″. After all, I don’t want to be the last chill cat in the hood who hasn’t beaten the game before the new installment arrives later this year. For those of you who actually use your free time constructively, “Fallout” is an action/RPG hybrid set in a post-apocalyptic world filled with robots, mutants, and a wide variety of beastly creatures. The game is graphically violent, foul-mouthed, and incredibly absorbing; were I to admit how much time I’ve spent in-game, you would laugh and point and google “pathetic nerd” just to see if my picture is associated with the term. If you’ve seen “The Road”, you’ve already got a pretty good idea of what the aesthetic is like. Minus Viggo’s overacting, of course.

“Fallout: New Vegas” is scheduled for release towards the tail end of 2010. And while I’m not too excited to see the year come to a close just yet, I’m pretty pumped for its arrival. The trailer below should give you an idea of why I’m so excited.

About Todd Rigney

Todd was raised on a steady diet of Hollywood blockbusters, late-night Cinemax programming, and USA’s “Up All Night,” which may explain why his taste in movies is more than a little questionable. When he isn’t providing news and reviews for Beyond Hollywood, he can be found lounging lazily on his couch, perched in front of his television, or dwelling in places where direct sunlight can be easily avoided. He's happily married, in his 30's, and totally badass. If you'd like to reach Todd, you can follow him on Twitter or send him email/scoops to todd (at) beyondhollywood.com.
