Whedon Wants No Part of the Buffy Reboot

Buffy the Vampire Slayer (Reboot) Movie, Horror Movie News — By Nix on June 11, 2009

If you’re one of the people holding your breath that somehow, someway Joss Whedon might accept an offer (if one were to be extended) to take part in the announced “Buffy The Vampire Slayer” reboot, then you might want to let go now, because it’s not gonna happen. While talking about his upcoming Dollhouse season 2, Whedon was asked about the “Buffy” reboot, and what were the chances that he’ll get involved in it. In a word: Not much of one, it would appear.

Whedon tells EW:

“I believe [the producers] did ultimately reach out to my agent after the news broke,” Whedon says. “I think that’s something better left untouched by me. So, I wish them luck.”

So there you have it. Whedon wants no part of the “Buffy” reboot.

So how to salvage this sure-to-be-despised movie? Maybe if they reach out and get Kristy Swanson to reprise her role. She’s still acting, right?

Below: “Who needs SMG when I’m around? Call me, producers!”

If They Do A Buffy Movie Without SMG I Refuse To Watch It…Did We Forget That Kristy Swanson or W/E Her Name Is Starred As Buffy in the Movie That Bombed Horribly? I Wish Joss Owned The Rights To Buffy Because To Me It Sounds Like These People Are Really Going To Screw Up Buffy’s Name…AGAIN!
