Just in time for Halloween (gee, what a coincidence!) comes the teen-centric horror movie “Ouija,” based on the board game that you and your friends used to play back when you were board. Wait, do kids still play with board games these days? Probably not. I’m guessing it’s all about your Gameboys and Super Nintendos and “Doom” for the PC and what not. You crazy kids and your technology.

Anyways, take a look at the first trailer, poster, and some images for director Stiles White’s “Ouija,” which boasts as being from the guys who gave you “Insidious.” Expect a sequel if this thing even makes a buck more than it loses.

In Ouija, a group of friends must confront their most terrifying fears when they awaken the dark powers of an ancient spirit board. Stiles White directs the supernatural thriller that is produced by Platinum Dunes partners Michael Bay, Andrew Form and Brad Fuller (The Purge, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Friday the 13th) alongside Blumhouse Productions’ Jason Blum (Paranormal Activity and Insidious series, The Purge), Bennett Schneir (Battleship) and Hasbro. Juliet Snowden and Stiles White wrote the script for Ouija, and Universal will distribute the film worldwide.

Starring Olivia Cooke, Daren Kagasoff, Douglas Smith, Bianca Santos, and Ana Coto.

October 24th.

reminds me of that 1986 movie “Witchboard”. Anyone else remembers that? I was a kid when I saw that. Man, I’m old…

Witchboard was made because Ouija was popular, but couldn’t get rights to the name. Could you imagine if the movie had the actual game in it. People would’ve lost their minds.

Yeah see, that shit right there is why I never played with one!! I don’t need proof that there are ghosts or anything. Thank you very much! That said I will probably see this at home.
