Will Smith’s latest stab at Oscar glory — er, I mean, Will Smith’s latest inspiration movie, “Seven Pounds”, has received a Will Smith-tastic poster. What can we learn from this poster for “Seven Pounds”? Well, it stars Will Smith, and Will Smith does stuff in the movie. Or maybe he doesn’t. Plus, Will Smith is bigger than the movie, because not only does Will Smith’s name come before the title of the movie, it’s the same size as the font for the movie title. Basically, if you like Will Smith, you’ll like “Seven Pounds”. Why? Because Will Smith is in it, silly, haven’t you been paying attention?
Ben (Will Smith) is an IRS agent who is depressed and guilt-ridden about mistakes from his past. He sets out to make amends by helping seven strangers. When he meets Emily (Rosario Dawson), a beautiful woman with a heart condition, he falls in love with her, thereby complicating his plans. Woody Harrelson also appears as a blind pianist who befriends Ben.
