William H. Macy is Zombie Bush in House of Re-Animator?

By Nix | January 29, 2008 (12:39 pm)

William H. Macy to come down from his Hollywood cloud to star in a cheesy/camp horror movie about a Dick Cheney-like zombie that takes over the White House? With Macy playing the Bush-like President in the movie? Say it ain’t so, Bill! But apparently so, according to Shock Til You Drop, who quotes Macy as saying he’s still involved in Stuart Gordon’s “House of Re-animator”.

More about the plot:

In the fourth chapter chronicling the exploits of Herbert West, Macy is committed to play the President of the United States. West, played by Jeffrey Combs, would be called to the White House to “revive” the V.P. - at least that was an early plot hatched by Gordon and Brian Yuzna.

Here’s what Macy said:

“Yeah, I’m still a part of it. Stuart Gordon…he works slowly but surely.”

Wow, isn’t a “Re-Animator” movie kinda, you know, below someone of Macy’s stature? I guess not.

Director Stuart Gordon still contends that because of the plotline of his latest “Re-animator” sequel (Bush as evil zombie), that Hollywood refuses to give him funding, which is like saying, “Because of my strident pro-drunk driving and anti-Jew stance, Mel Gibson refuses to pal around with me.”
