Witchblade Gets a Writer and Director

It looks like the people behind the new “Witchblade” movie are really anxious to get this thing made. No sooner did we get a half-naked teaser poster for the film do we hear that a director and writer have been assigned to transfer the kick-ass (and oftentimes half-naked, did I mention that?) lady warrior from the comic book panels to the big screen.

We were tipped off this morning that the feature film adaptation of the popular ’90s comic book Witchblade will be directed by Michael Rymer (Battlestar Galactica, Queen of the Damned) from a screenplay by Everett De Roche.

As long as Rymer doesn’t fill “Witchblade” with the same unnecessary quick-zoom crap that he pulled on BSG, I’ll be happy.
