Wolverine Comic Con Footage/Trailer

The most surprising thing about this “Wolverine” footage (it’s not really a trailer, it’s too long for that) shown at Comic Con isn’t that it’s so good you’re surprised how good it looks, but that they’re still calling this thing “X-Men Origins: Wolverine”. I always thought it was kind of a clunky title when they announced it, and still do. Anyways, here’s the footage, in two parts, showing that this thing is pretty much almost entirely done. Wolverine vs. Sabretooth — are you ready? They’re going to cut your goddamn head off if you aren’t.

Wolverine lives a mutant life, seeks revenge against Victor Creed (who will later become Sabertooth) for the death of his girlfriend, and ultimately ends up going through the mutant Weapon X program.

Starring Hugh Jackman, Ryan Reynolds, Liev Schreiber, Dominic Monaghan, Lynn Collins, Danny Huston, Daniel Henney, Taylor Kitsch, and Kevin Durand. Gavin Hood (”Rendition”) directs.

Wolverine slices and does and generally does what he does best May 1, 2009.

For a cellphone capture (in two parts), it’s not half bad. The tilt is annoying, but beggars can’t be choosers. I caught Gambit, the Blob, and Silver Fox, but didn’t see Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool (unless I missed it).
