World War Z Gets a Snazzy Teaser Poster

The full, glorious zombie-filled trailer for Brad Pitt’s “World War Z” arrives in a couple of days. Until then, the studio has released a snazzy new teaser poster for the film featuring the title treatment and, um, black space. Hey, it’s a teaser. Whaddaya want?

“World War Z” is based on the bestselling book by Max Brooks, but to hear fans of the book tell it, that 30-second snippet they saw of the trailer seems to have little connection to the book itself. I guess you would call this a “loose” adaptation.

Besides the Pittster, “World War Z” co-stars Eric West, Matthew Fox, David Morse, James Badge Dale, Mireille Enos, David Andrews, Elyes Gabel, and is directed by former Bond man Marc Forster.

Thanks to a huge amount of reported rewrites and reshoots, the war won’t begin until next year on June 21, 2013.

i like zombie movies. i’m curious though, what makes this zombie movie more special than the other zombie movies out there?

and the most important question: fast zombies or slow zombies? :P

Dunno how they’re going to do it but the book was basically interviews with people after the outbreak was contained and the world was rebuilding. I’m guessing we’ll get interviews that lead into flashbacks of what happened. OR we’ll get a reporter’s eye view of the outbreak.
