The question is: who will he play?
Until we find that answer, here’s the official confirmation from Bryan Singer himself via Twitter that “The Intouchables” actor Omar Sy has been added to the cast of Singer’s upcoming “X-Men: Days of Future Past”. Sy, along with Peter Dinklage, are two of the few names being added to the cast that aren’t former stars of previous “X-Men” movies.
Sy is a French actor who has been in the aforementioned “The Intouchables”, as well as “Micmacs” and a bunch of other French films that you’ve probably never heard of (unless you’re French, that is).
As always with his cast announcements, Singer neglected to tell us who Sy would be playing in the upcoming comic book sequel. The quick assumption of course is to wonder which black mutant shows up in the original comic book storyline that “Days of Future Past” will be based on, but bear in mind that race swapping in comic book movies is not exactly new anymore. (For an example, see Nick Fury, Perry White, and Catwoman, etc.)
Thrilled to welcome the brilliant #OmarSy from the amazing film #TheIntouchables to the cast of #Xmen #DaysofFuturePast!
