Young Professor X Defends Buttercup from Murder Charges in The Conspirator

First trailer for Robert Redford’s period law flick “The Conspirator”, starring Robin Wright as the only female woman charged in the conspiracy to murder President Abraham Lincoln. James McAvoy, Young Professor X in “X-Men: First Class”, must defend her. Lots of screaming about injustice and many people being outraged by various things ensue. Shoot, why doesn’t McAvoy just use his powers to find out the truth? He’d win in a minute, I bet.

In the wake of Abraham Lincoln’s assassination, seven men and one woman are arrested and charged with conspiring to kill the President, Vice President, and Secretary of State. The lone woman charged, Mary Surratt, owns a boarding house where John Wilkes Booth, and others met and planned the simultaneous attacks.

Starring Robin Wright, James McAvoy, Tom Wilkinson, Evan Rachel Wood, Kevin Kline, and directed by Robert Redford.

Getting all outraged and such April 15, 2011.
