Young Professor X Shows Up on the ’70s Set of X-Men: Days of Future Past

Check out your first look at James McAvoy on the set of Bryan Singer’s “X-Men: Days of Future Past”. I thought Singer was just doing test shots for the upcoming movie, but this looks like McAvoy is fully in “costume” as Professor X circa the 1970s from the looks of his wardrobe. Is the film shooting already?

From the looks of the facial hair and devil-may-care haircut, it certainly looks like young Professor X is still smarting over his encounter with a stray bullet at the end of “X-Men: First Class”.

The time-travel “X-Men: Days of Future Past” also stars Jennifer Lawrence, Peter Dinklage, Michael Fassbender, Nicholas Hoult, Ellen Page, Ian McKellen, Anna Paquin, Halle Berry, Shawn Ashmore, Patrick Stewart, Daniel Cudmore, Booboo Stewart, Omar Sy, Hugh Jackman.

The days begin next year, July 18, 2014.

Hm, it hadn’t occurred to me that Xavier might go through an angry, bitter phase and isn’t yet the team leader he was when Patrick Stewart played him

YEah, but it makes sense and I like it! Love the look, and now his hair should start falling out lol.

And for better or for worse, I think an encounter with a future-Kitty Pryde is just the thing a pissed off and paralyzed Xavier would need to break his funk and get his shit together
