Here’s your first look at Jet Li and Jackie Chan in costume from their upcoming Chinese/Hollywood-funded epic “The Forbidden Kingdom”. Says AsianPopcorn about the film: “Although based on famous Chinese novel “˜Journey to the West’, the actors in the movie look more like characters in Louis Cha (Jin Yong)’s novels.” Yeah, I really have no idea what that means, either, but I’m assuming it’s some mystical Chinese trade secret and such. Anyways, continue for the pictures.
A discovery made by a kung fu obsessed American teen sends him on an adventure to China, where he joins up with a band of martial arts warriors in order to free the imprisoned Monkey King.
Starring Michael Angarano, Jet Li, Jackie Chan, and Crystal Liu Yifei, and directed by Rob Minkoff (”The Haunted Mansion”).
How cute is Crystal Liu Yifei? I think I’m in love.
