Your First Look at the Watchmen Characters!

See, this is what I’m talking about. What Zack Snyder is doing with the Watchmen blog. Instead of waiting for some studio flunky to steal these character posters for his upcoming “Watchmen” adaptation and send them off to AICN for some brownie points, he’s instead posted them on the site’s official blog. Check them out for yourself: Matthew Goode as Adrian Veidt aka Ozymandias, Jeffrey Dean Morgan as Edward Blake aka the Comedian, Patrick Wilson as Dan Dreiberg aka Nite Owl, Jackie Earle Haley as Walter Kovacs aka Rorschach, and finally, Malin Akerman as Laurie Juspeczyk aka Silk Spectre.

More:

Here we are, officially one year and counting until the release of Watchmen on 03.06.09. Being a fan that follows production blogs, I know that the time a film is in post can often seem like an eternity with interesting bits of information few and far between. So to help pass the time, here is your first look at some of the Watchmen characters.

Starring Patrick Wilson, Jackie Earle Haley, Matthew Goode, Billy Crudup, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, and directed by Zack Snyder.

Fear the Watchmen March 6, 2009.

Great job on all of them, except maybe for Ozymandias. He looks sort of like “Captain Amazing” from “Mystery Men” with a cape and without all of the advertsing.

I’d hope for a clearer shot of Rorschach, but this’ll do.

Night Owl and Silk Spectre are amazing, and actually better than the comic book. And the Comedian, just wow!

It looks great, but will the movie be great?

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing about Nite Owl. But the Comedian and Rorschach just looks dead on. I was thinking Ozymandias should be older, but I guess they’re playing off the “golden boy” vibe.

I am looking for a book with the character name of “Jiger” in it. It would have at least been a book b4 35 years ago, because a friend of mine’s dad was reading it and that is how he came up with his birth name. If you could help me out with any books that have that character name it, I would appreciate the help.

    Thank you
