Your First Official Look at Adrianne Palicki as Wonder Woman

Ready or not, kids, here’s your first look at Adrianne Palicki all dressed up as Wonder Woman. Or at least, what David E. Kelley envisions his “modern” Wonder Woman to look like. I’ll be perfectly honest with you, if I didn’t know that was Adrianne Palicki in this picture, I’d swear this was some kind of a stunt double or a stand-in. Also, if Kelley was going to diverge this much from the comics look of the character, he should have just kept Palicki as a blonde. Adrianne Palicki as a brunette is just … meh.

The NBC show, from writer/creator David E. Kelley, stars Adrianne Palicki as Wonder Woman, aka Diana Prince, a crimefighter by night, busybody executive by day. The show co-stars Cary Elwes and Elizabeth Hurley as WW’s foe Veronica Cale.

HAHA! But seriously, I agree no one will ever replace Linda Carter, but you’re way off saying she should only be a love interest. Hell that’s borderline sexist man. I mean I can’t deny that writers for the most part aren’t sure where to go with her (hence her having her comic renewed with a number 1 issue three times in the last decade before returning to original numbering) and that trying to tow the line between her Greek mythological origins and superhero action, but damn, a love interest only? WOW! I thought you were a comicbookguy LOL. She was the first positive and strong female hero/role model in comics, and is one of the Big three in DC next to Supes and Bats. The animated movie did a greta job of balancing it, and if we ever get a live action film then I hope they go that route and maybe a bit of the way “Percy Jackson” used mythology, but this show, and David E. Kelly writing it is just wrong.

I am the first person to say change is good, but that outfit looks like someone’s cosplay costume (a really good one, but still cosplay). I was just hoping for something a little less garish.
