Here’s your first official look at Mel Gibson and Jodie Foster’s upcoming “The Beaver” from Summit Entertainment. “The Beaver” is the movie where Mel plays a crazy man who talks through a beaver puppet. Yes, that is precisely the plot. Ahem. The trailer makes its debut on Entertainment Tonight tomorrow, followed by an online roll-out. I know you’ve all been dying to see it. Right?

Two-time Academy Award® winner Jodie Foster directs and co-stars with two-time Academy Award® winner Mel Gibson in THE BEAVER – an emotional story about a man on a journey to re-discover his family and re-start his life.

Plagued by his own demons, Walter Black was once a successful toy executive and family man who now suffers from depression. No matter what he tries, Walter can’t seem to get himself back on track…until a beaver hand puppet enters his life.

Starring Mel Gibson, Jodie Foster, Anton Yelchin, Jennifer Lawrence, Cherry Jones, and directed by Jodie Foster.

Catch the beav sometime in Spring 2011.

No one sees the irony of Jodie Foster in a movie called “The Beaver”…?

I heard they needed to cut a very steamy sex scene between Jodie and the puppet to get the PG rating but that will be an extra on the DVD.
