With all the recent casting news and rumors surrounding J.J. Abrams’ Star Trek 11 reboot, it’s easy to forget that filming on the movie has already begun! One of the first scenes being shot is a young Spock (played by Heroes’ Zachary Quinto) at a Vulcan Council meeting, where he is apparently on trial for something, or so it seems. ComingSoon has your first look as Quinto as young Spock via the site JFXOnline. And speaking of casting rumors, House star Jennifer Morrison has been confirmed as joining the cast, though her character remakes a mystery.

Here’s how one fellow on IMDB.com describes the plot of Trek 11:

The Romulans travel back in time. The Romulans then figure out where they are in the timeline, then decide to take advantage of the accident to kill Kirk’s father, to erase kirk from the timeline before he existed, thereby changing all of the TREK universe as a result. Thus SOMEHOW leaving Spock in a position to change that incident back, and then in a position to guard that timeline and make sure things happen the way they’re supposed to.

Time travel. You gotta love it. Only Trek could ever make that ridiculous movie conceit work.

Urgh… this make-up doesn’t suits him the least…(At least in Star Trek III, when Spock was growing old they found someone looking remotely like him….)
He doesn’t look at all like Spock ! Even a “younger” one!

Those “babyfat” cheeks…*shudders*

They should have casted Tobias Menzies.. he DOES look Vulcan, at least!
