Zack Snyder Confirms Viggo-Less Superman Reboot

Let’s face it, the idea of Aragorn battling Superman was just too cool to happen — which may explain why it’s not happening. That, and the fact that Viggo Mortensen probably has “Snow White and the Huntsman” preoccupying his time at the moment. (Damn you, Snow White!)

Zack Snyder, director of the upcoming “Superman” reboot, told Latino Review as much when asked about Viggo’s involvement (or lack thereof) in his upcoming film:

Yeah Viggo is not going to be in the movie let’s say that right now. I can clear that up.

Snyder goes on to dodge a couple of other “Superman” related questions, but the upshot is that Viggo Mortensen will NOT be playing General Zod in the “Superman” reboot. Which is bummers, but there you have it.

Supes gets Viggo-less in 2012.

That’s a shame cause so far the cast is tight. There are rumors going around that Snyder is looking at Gerard Butler to play Zod. I say of they’re gonna do Zod, Butler would rock the part.

I know for sure I won’t be seying Snow White.
