Oh look, how cute! Director Zack Snyder actually thinks he has a say in whether his movie “Sucker Punch” gets converted to 3D or not! Awwwwwww. Isn’t that adorable? Of course the studio is going to convert your movie into 3D, Zack Snyder. Hollywood movie suits would sell their grandma’s liver for an extra buck if they thought someone wanted to buy it. But hey, I’m not going to let that hard dose of reality ruin ol Zack’s imaginary world. Here’s what the director told MTV about converting his all-girl action movie “Sucker Punch” into 3D in pos:
We didn’t shoot in 3-D. They’ve talked about doing a conversion and there’s been a lot of talk about us doing ‘Sucker Punch’ in 3-D, but I’m still waiting to see.
We’ve looked at a bunch of conversions, so whether or not we have the time to do it right — I’m not going to do it if we don’t have the time to really be meticulous with it. It’s such an awesome piece of work and everyone’s worked so hard to make it awesome, so I don’t want to screw it up with bad 3-D.
Zack, have you seen “The Last Airbender” and “Clash of the Titans”? Since when does “quality 3D conversion” matter to the studio?
Expect “Sucker Punch” in 3D March 25, 2011. Until then, you can catch the first footage when the movie makes its Comic Con debut later this month.
