Zack Snyder to Produce Zombie Fun in Army of the Dead
Army of the Dead (2010) Movie, Horror Movie News — By Nix on June 4, 2008 |
Let’s face it, Zack Snyder can do no wrong, and that’s how it’s going to be until he does do something that is just short of bloody fantastic. I’ve even grown to love his 2004 remake of Romero’s “Dawn of the Dead”; if you approach it as a separate movie from Romero’s, it’s not half bad. In fact, it’s pretty damn good. Now Snyder is back in zombie land, this time as producer on the new movie “Army of the Dead”, which, judging by the plot (below), would seem to fit in perfectly with Snyder’s own “Dawn of the Dead” world.
The Hollywood Reporter has your plot:
“Dead” is an action thriller centering on a father’s mission to save his daughter from imminent death in a zombie-infested world. Filmmaker Joby Harold (”Awake”) wrote the screenplay.
Snyder, who is producing the movie for Warner Bros and Village Roadshow via his own production shingle, has tapped commercial director Matthijs van Heijningen to direct. Now before you get all hot and bothered by that, remember that Snyder was a nobody when he did “Dawn”, too, and we know how well that turned out.

Sounds cool. Running zombies are a little too ACTION PACKED to be scary though. It’s a shock scare or nothing. You’d hear a steroid zombie coming a mile away.
It must be easy to find cast memebers to play the parts of brain dead zombies -look at the results of the last election and there are plenty of brain dead people in America that would do.
Yea. We finally voted out the zombified republican Bush and the rest of his party.
I think you have that backwards….The only Zombies I see are the mass idiots who voted in Barack Hussein Obama! I bet you all wish you could take back your votes seeing how far in debt this person we call president will take America. Remember how he said tax cuts to all the middle class….not anymore!
The middle class and poor will be the ones to pay for the outrageous tax debt that Obama is creating. Yes we can, Yes we can…what? Pay more taxes!
How far in debt he’ll take America?
The amount of debt Obama has racked up so far doesn’t even compare to the amount of debt Bush created (not to mention the fact Bush had to burn through billions of dollars of surplus money to even reach negative numbers in the first place.)
But I’m sure you were protesting Bush’s out-of-control spending policies, right?
