Let’s face it, at this point there isn’t a middle ground for Zack Snyder’s “Watchmen”. It will either open big and become a massive hit, or it’ll go down as a big flaming wreck. And since we’ve just about all talked out on “Watchmen”, what about Snyder’s next film? According to the director himself, it’ll be an action movie set in the ’60s with an all-girl cast called “Sucker Punch”.
Yes, Zack Snyder is directing a movie with an all-girl cast. Luckily for fans of the director’s “300” and “Watchmen”, it won’t be something ala “Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants” or some such nonsense, but rather an action movie about a girl who is locked up in a mental institution who fantasizes about going back and forward in time and getting into, in all likelihood, slow-motion fistfights with people. Doesn’t sound so bad, right?
Snyder also tells Collider.com that he plans to shoot the movie this fall for a 2011 release. One other thing that’ll make this not be a bad chick flick? “Sucker Punch” will be Rated R for hard violence.
Maybe Zack can get Angelina Jolie and Winona Rider to co-star. I’m just saying.
