Zombie Explains Why he’s Back for H2, More Pics

Rob Zombie has already said that “H2: Halloween” the sequel is all him, and has nothing at all to do with the previous “Halloween” franchise, #2 or otherwise. And in his latest blog, Zombie also defends his reasons for returning to do a sequel after having said over and over that he would never ever do a sequel. According to Zombie, it took him a year and a half, but he realized there were more stories he wanted to tell, and thus, he returned. Plus, two more pics from “H2″, including more Michael Myers in a hoody.
The sequel stars Malcolm McDowell, Scout Taylor-Compton, Tyler Mane, Daeg Faerch, Bill Fagerbakke, Daniel Roebuck, Mark Christopher Lawrence, Chris Hardwick, Ezra Buzzington, Jeffrey Daniel Phillips, and is directed by Rob Zombie.

Rob’s Halloween was not a bad film, i like it actually but it didn’t feel like a halloween film. Look at this michael wearing a hood and jacket… what’s up with that?. Rob kinda ‘killed it’ i gotta say but maybe i will check out this film cause like i said zombie’s halloween was good for a horror film, but not great for a halloween film. After Halloween resurrection i knew a sequel would suck but i preferred a sequel instead of a reboot or remake but that won’t happen since it got a new turn. Scout is a great actress though and worth watching the film for even if she changed Laurie.
Screw that. I hate hearing how people constantly bitch about “oh my god, he’s killing the franchise, he’s changing Michael too much.” Forget that, if you want the same old shit than watch the old movies. If you don’t agree then don’t watch it, there it’s simple. Go back to ‘78 and watch it on August 28th instead of H2. I know what i’m going to be doing then. Halloween is my favorite movie franchise, change it, remake it, recast it, I don’t care. As long as Michael is still on the big screen I don’t care.
you hate hearing people bitch about killing franchise, dont listen. its one thing to remake a movie, but its another to screw up the story. nothing wrong with updating but rob does a terrible job. hes not a writer. im all for watching updated horror movies, i loved amityville horror remake, i love the carrie remake, and i love the prom night remake. these are all old movies but they were remade with taste and at least they followed the same story but with a twist. rob reminds me of tim burton sick and twisted in the head and have no idea how to make films. as for the bitching. i will continue to bitch and gripe about whatever i like and if you dont like it, get over it. continue to watch your twisted movies so the filmakers will have at least one major fan. as for the old movie quote, nothin will ever replace classic horror films i dont care who you are. ill be awaiting your reply since you like to bitch so much.

Fortunately for me as I am a Horror fan there is a Director out there by the name of Rob Zombie and he’s tearing it up.
and the fact that you like your remakes to be carbon flippn copies ‘with a twist’ is sad. are you the poster boy for hollywood box office?
I hope H2 wrecks it at the box office and Zombie gets to do Tyrannosaurus Rex.

Looks like a good film even the first one was great not as good as the old ones but worth watching. But why did Rob make michael like this? Looks like a homeless guy asking for candy instead of offering some.

I think this is great. I love how Rob Zombie puts his own ideas and thoughts into these new Halloween Films. Surely he could copy the originals to a T, making all the characters look the same, and so forth, but why? That would not be art. That would not be creative! Rob is taking the story of Michael Myers and putting his own twist to it. Looking forward to seeing this new film
Robs Halloween sequel looks good but he messed it up making michael wear a hood what was that for i dont like that rob should cut that part out he looks stupid mine as well call him Michael homeless man in a getto ass sweat coat.
I believe this halloween shooda been more similar to the actual myers givinv it a twist with the hood nd listening to his mom in the film changes michaels character too much im not saying Rob doesnt deserve his props im saying he took it too far but another no1 will ever play a better part than donald pleasence god bless his soul r.i.p
I also think this michael isnt as scarey as the others but it wood be a good idea to remake alll up to 6..with todays modern technology an not twist the storyline that much
Maybe he is kinda ruining it by telling why he is killing people…..but who cares? It’s still going to be a kick ass horror movie!!! Better than all the other garbage they are putting out!! The first one Rob Zombie made was freaking awesome, it gave me hope that there may be some good horror movies again. I say keep it going and don’t stop I’m loving what he is doing with the movies.

If you don’t like the way he is making the new movies then do not go see them. But i bet even the people talking trash on the movie are still going to go see it.
So yeah..I applaud Rob. I think he’s doing a great job with the remaking of the Halloween movies. He’s giving the story line a different perspective instead of the same old remake. I can’t wait until the new one comes out and I’m glad he decided to do a second! Word of advice for all the haters, watch all the old ones and stop whinning about the remakes. Opinions are like assholes…everyone has one =]
big fan of horror,I love that there are more halloween & friday the 13th movies being made,with that said I wish rob didn’t make michael myers look like kane the wrestler in the first one & a homeless guy in second..myers was not tall and heavy in the original one (1978) so why is he a monster in the remakes?…also w/ all the technology why can’t they make a replica of the mask used in the first one(1978),that was the best and scariest mask out of all of them..
well, two or three weeks ago i thought it was going to be a pretty good movie from my knowledge. but now seeing the editing that dimension film is doing where my step-brother is working now a double freaking shift, a pain in the butt. so i saw a good 20 to 30 minutes of the movie half way edited. one part well i should’nt give it away, but rob zombies giving away alote of the movie in a short time. well is about 10 minutes in where laurie is just arriving at the hospital / THIS SCENE WAS SHOT AT A MEDICAL CLINIC IN ATLANTA,GA / where lauries freaking out and trys to jump out the ambulance to run away to the police station,where a family member that was supposely killed in the first movie managed to survive and escape to freedom from the boogyman. whatever when she over heard the pharamedics say that to each other thinking she was past out and safe to say, well you see a reflecting of the camera guy and no other then rob zombie himself the director of this so called azame movie. that part needs to be edited big time so big that rob may have to come in the studio to reshout this scene. great job rob no one will notice your reflecting when you see it for like 5 seconds of the scene azame. so guys i will try and keep you updated on this editing part of the movie unless my step-brother finds out im doing this and kills me for spilling the beans of the first 10 minutes of the movie bye.
