Anyways. Tommy Wirkola promised a sequel to his 2009 breakthrough hit “Dead Snow” more than two years ago, and it looks like he’s ready to deliver. After flirting with Hollywood on “Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters” (that film has collected over $127 million worldwide after just three weeks of release), Wirkola is expected to return to his native Norway to start shooting the sequel, titled “Dead Snow: War Of The Dead” sometime this year.
From the sound of the plot (below), “Dead Snow: War Of The Dead” will take place after the events of the first movie. Honestly though, while I liked the film enough, I don’t remember at all what happened at the end, except there were a lot of zombies and Nazis and snowmobile and people getting their intestines pulled out.
Set to be released in both English and Norwegian, the new film follows the sole survivor of a Nazi zombie attack who battles an even larger army of Zombies with the help of the Zombie Squad, a professional gang of zombie killers from the US.
So apparently one of them survived and has to fight even more zombies, this time with help from some Americans. Sounds good to me.
The first one starred Jeppe Laursen, Charlotte Frogner, Jenny Skavlan, and you can read my review of it here.
