If Ruben Fleischer’s zombie horror-comedy “Zombieland” becomes a hit, I’m pretty sure it’s going to catch everyone by surprise, because I don’t think a lot of people had the film on their radar. And why should they? It’s a movie about a gun-toting redneck and a scaredy cat who goes around shooting zombies in a world overrun by the living dead. Then they stumble across a couple of girls, and shoots more zombies. Not exactly highbrow stuff there, but the trailer certainly sells it for me. Looks like good, clean, blood-covered fun.
Columbus (Jesse Eisenberg) has made a habit of running from what scares him. Tallahassee (Woody Harrelson) doesn’t have fears. If he did, he’d kick their ever-living ass. In a world overrun by zombies, these two are perfectly evolved survivors. But now, they’re about to stare down the most terrifying prospect of all: each other.
Starring Abigail Breslin, Bill Murray, Emma Stone, Amber Heard, Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg, Chick Bernhardt, and directed by Ruben Fleischer.
