Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese, the writers of the first “Zombieland” and Ryan Reynolds’ upcoming “Deadpool” movie, talked to MTV about what to expect in a “Zombieland 2″. According to the writers, they’re approaching the script with 3D in mind (yes, that miserable fad won’t be dead anytime soon, it appears), and will be introducing a female love interest for Woody Harrelson’s character, Tallahassee. They also reveal that the two ladies from the first movie, Wichita and Little Rock (Emma Stone and Abigal Breslin, respectively) will also be back, with the sequel continuing to explore growing up in a world infested with the living and rotting dead.
To be honest, I would have preferred to see a sequel with Columbus (Jesse Eisenberg) and Harrelson’s Tallahassee, and leave the two sisters out of it. Nothing against them, they were great characters, but I can’t help but think that the continued adventures of the zombie killing boys, as they meet up with new people, would be preferable than to simply add more characters to an existing brood. But maybe that’s just me.
Expect “Zombieland 2″ sometime soon.
